About Me

Haaaai!! *waves frantically*

I’m a registered Occupational Therapist in my twenties working the role of Mental Health Therapist for Children and Teens in a small city in Northern Alberta.

I grew up In Vancouver and Hong Kong, two amazing cities with a booming food scene.  My parents were avid travellers, and growing up, I was lucky to tag along with them, visiting countries in Europe and Asia  and sampling foods along the way.  University brought me from Hong Kong to Toronto, another city with a bustling food scene. During my 7 years of schooling there, I was able to experiment with produce, spices, and sauces all around the world in the comforts of my kitchen. During these summers, I ventured off to Central America, partly travelling and sampling Central American cuisine, and partly volunteering with travelling clinics in under-served villages.

Since my move to Northern Alberta, it has been a huge food culture shock. This blog captures my adventures of using the ingredients that are available to me to recreate the gastro-adventures so easily accessible in major cities.  My food is an eclectic mix and fusion of flavours from around the world. Enjoy! 🙂
